Rainbow Wise
Ensuring all LGBTQ+ children and young people feel safe, seen and supported.
Welcome to Rainbow Wise – the home of affordable, accessible LGBTQ+ inclusion training for schools, colleges, and professionals working with children and young people.
We believe every child and young person deserves to grow up in an environment where they are celebrated, respected, and supported for who they are. At Rainbow Wise, we provide practical, down-to-earth training and resources that help create inclusive, affirming spaces for LGBTQ+ children and young people.
Whether you’re in a classroom, youth centre, GP surgery, or social care setting, our training is designed to give you the confidence and tools to make a real difference.
“Rainbow Wise is hands down one of the most engaging and thoughtfully designed online programmes I’ve come across for school staff.
As someone with ADHD, I really appreciate the variety of question types and the ability to dip in and out in bite-sized chunks as it keeps me focused and motivated. The quizzing for retrieval is especially brilliant and the regional accents make it feel personal and relatable. The content is perfectly pitched; clear, concise, and never overwhelming. I’m feeling more confident navigating language associated with gender and sexuality. I’ve already noticed myself correcting my own language with colleagues, which makes me feel well-informed and proud.
A standout moment for me in the training was the explanation of gender identity as it helped me feel safer discussing the topic with my teenage daughter, who actually said it was ‘cool’ I was doing this. That alone made the course worth it. I recommend the programme for educators everywhere who want to support pupils and colleagues from the LGBTQ+ community to be safe at school.”

FAQ's
Who is your training for?
Our training is designed for anyone working with children and young people, including teachers, school staff, youth workers, early years practitioners, social workers, healthcare professionals and more. Whether you’re in a mainstream school or a community organisation, you’re welcome here.
Do I need any prior knowledge about LGBTQ+ inclusion?
Not at all. Our training meets you where you are. Whether you’re completely new to this or looking to build on existing knowledge, we create a space that’s non-judgemental, practical and easy to follow.
Is your training suitable for whole teams or just individuals?
Both. We run training for individual professionals and for whole teams within schools, services, and organisations. If you’re not sure what would suit you best, just get in touch and we’ll help you work it out.
Can the training be adapted to our setting?
Yes, we know that every setting is different. Our training is flexible and responsive, and we’ll always tailor it to fit your context, needs, and the age group you work with.
How much does it cost?
We believe cost shouldn’t be a barrier. That’s why we keep our pricing affordable and transparent. You can find more information on our training pages or reach out for a no-obligation chat.
Is this relevant if we don’t currently have any LGBTQ+ students or service users?
Yes. LGBTQ+ children and young people are everywhere – whether they’re out or not. Creating inclusive environments matters now, so that when a young person is ready, they know they’ll be supported.
